Local Foods Connection
Local Foods Connection’s mission is to make available to the Eastern Iowa needy the opportunity to enjoy locally made healthy food, to become part of a local, environmentally aware community, and to learn how to best prepare fresh food for the most health benefits. Families in need receive a weekly basket of seasonal produce from local earth-friendly farms, while learning about sustainable agriculture, cooking, and nutrition.
